Out of the Shadows: Bringing to Light Black Horsemen in Saddlebred History, opening February 16, will feature the many contributions made by African Americans to Kentucky’s oldest native breed of horse, the American Saddlebred. On Tues., Jan. 16, Kim was jump-schooling her beloved horse Merle (Test Run) when Merle got a rail caught between his legs. In the subsequent fall, Kim landed in such a way which hyper-extended her neck. She sustained damage to the C3 and C4 vertebrae. She was immediately life-flighted from Ocala to Orlando.  Conyers, GA- Tracey Winter and her 13-year old Trakehner gelding, Martailo, won top honors at the recent GAIG/USDF Region 3 Dressage Championships when they were awarded the tri-colored neck ribbon for the Grand Prix Championship.
