Argyle, TX- A’Dashi owner, Shirley Johnson, announced today that A’Dashi will be merging into The Paddock Saddlery based in Northern Ohio. A’Dashi, which has been one of the dressage industry’s premier fashion and apparel boutiques since 1997, will host the official merger with The Paddock Saddlery at the World Cup this week in Las Vegas. The Paddock Saddlery is owned by Lisa Gorretta and Carey Smith-Wilson. While Smith-Wilson heads up operations in Ohio this week, Gorretta will join Shirley Johnson of A’Dashi at her World Cup booth for the champagne kick-off of the merger.
The Paddock Saddlery established in 1986, is one the nation’s oldest and most respected full service english tack stores. “ We are very excited about the merging of talents and organizations of A'Dashi and The Paddock Saddlery,” said Gorretta. “I am thrilled, too” said Johnson, “With the addition of the A’Dashi boutique, The Paddock Saddlery will simply be an unparalleled resource for fashion and fine dressage apparel. They will now offer the largest combined selection of Pikeur and Grand Prix in the US. It’s very exciting”.
Both A’Dashi and The Paddock Saddlery have been strong supporters of the United States Dressage Federation. The merger will allow The Paddock Saddlery to take on an even greater role within the dressage community. Johnson will work closely with The Paddock Saddlery at many of the major events over the next year including Dressage at Devon and the Winter Circuit in Florida in 2008.
Meanwhile, The Paddock Saddlery owners will get a taste of “Sale –A’Dashi Style” this week, as A’Dashi kicks-off the largest sales event in the store’s history in conjunction with the World Cup. Gorretta and Smith Wilson, both active equestrians, drew from their backgrounds in fashion merchandising and management to launch The Paddock Saddlery. Over 20 years later their longevity in the market is a tribute to their success. This week will mark an exciting milestone for the future of The Paddock Saddlery as they merge experience, customer service skills, and fashion know-how with A’Dashi.
